CM1522s COVID-19 Influenza Combo Vaccine Trial

We’re currently recruiting participants for a new medical study that is looking at a potential new vaccine for COVID-19 in combination with a flu vaccine.

We’re inviting you to take part in a research study which may help advance research in this area.

The vaccine aims to protect against both the flu and COVID-19 in people 50-80 years old and/or prevent serious illness if infection does occur.

The trial will be conducted at the Fusion Clinical Research clinic in Norwood by study doctors and research staff.

Eligibility requirements

  • Age: 50-80
  • Sex:
  • BMI: 17-40
  • Medication: Inclusion Criteria: – Must have completed a primary vaccination series against COVID-19 with an authorised COVID-19 vaccine with receipt of last dose >8 weeks prior to enrolment Exclusion Criteria: – Use of COVID-19 prophalctic or treatment monoclonal antibodies/antibody cocktails within 90 days prior to enrolment – Receipt of any vaccine in the 4 weeks preceding the study vaccination and any influenza vaccine within 8 weeks prior to enrolment – Chronic administration (defined as more than 14 continuous days) of immunosuppressants or other immune-modifying drugs within 6 months prior to enrolment – Administration of immunoglobulins and/or any blood products within 3 months prior to enrolment – Active cancer (malignancy) therapy within 3 years prior to enrolment
  • Medical History: Exclusion Criteria: – History of COVID-19 infection as confirmed by RAT or PCR test – less than 8 weeks prior to enrolment – Any history of anaphylaxis to any prior vaccine. – History of a serious reaction to a prior influenza vaccination or known allergy to constituents of influenza vaccines – including egg proteins or polysorbate 80 – History of Guillain-Barré Syndrome within 6 weeks following a previous influenza vaccine – Known disturbance of coagulation – History of myocarditis or pericarditis

  • 5 visits

Payment/Remuneration

  • $150 per visit (max total reimbursement $750)
