Respiratory Syncitial Virus (RSV) is a leading cause of severe lower respiratory tract (LRT) disease in elderly populations.
When an adult gets RSV infection, they typically have mild cold-like symptoms. But RSV can sometimes lead to serious conditions such as Pneumonia (infection of the lungs).
Eligibility requirements
- Age: 60-80 year olds
- Sex: Males and females
- BMI: < = 40
- Medication: No inhaled or systemic corticosteroids
- Medical History: Stable chronic disease permitted
- Smoking History: Not exclusionary
Outpatient Visits
- 14-17 visits (depends on cohort) over approx. 1 year
