F03625 – Cardiovascular Trial

Adults aged 18 years or older may be eligible for a clinical trial evaluating an investigational cardiovascular treatment aimed at reducing major adverse cardiovascular events in people who have elevated Lipoprotein(a).

The study includes 19-20 visits over a period of about 4 years.

Eligibility requirements

  • Age: 18+
  • Sex: M & F
  • Medication: Participants taking statins or prescription-strength niacin must be on a stable dose for at least 4 weeks prior to trial. Participants taking cholesterol lowering PCSK9 inhibitors (such as Alirocumab (Praluent), Evolocumab (Repatha), or Inclisiran (Leqvio)) must be on a stable dose for at least 8 weeks prior to trial.
  • Medical History: Eligibility requirements (not limited to): Adults aged 18 years or older, in good health or with stable medical conditions. Lp(a) levels ≥175 nmol/L at screening or pre-screening (we will measure this for you). History of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease or at risk for a first Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease event. If you have Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, the most recent event must not have occurred within 90 days prior to screening. Cannot have uncontrolled blood pressure or severe heart failure. Cannot have severe kidney impairment. Cannot be pregnant, breast-feeding or plan to become pregnant or breast-feed during the study.

Payment/Remuneration

  • Participants are compensated for their time of $75 per site visit and $48 for meals in the event the visit requires fasting.
