Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that infects the airways and lungs. It is highly contagious and spreads easily. RSV or respiratory syncytial virus can cause breathing problems and lung infections in children including bronchiolitis and pneumonia.

Older people and people who have problems with their heart, lungs or immune system are also at risk.

Eligibility requirements

  • Age: 18-75
  • Sex: Males and females
  • BMI: >/= 18-< = 40
  • Medication: No inhaled or systemic corticosteroids
  • Medical History: Up to 48 hours of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) symptoms with at least one of the following symptoms: Nasal discharge, nasal congestion, malaise/tiredness, headache, sinus congestion, sneezing, sore throat, hoarseness, cough, shortness of breath, respiratory wheeze, earache, and/or symptoms of fever. Note: The duration of symptoms (not more than 48 hours) is to be measured from the estimated time of onset of the first symptom.
  • Smoking History: Not exclusionary

Outpatient Visits

  • 5 visits over a 14 day period

Payment/Remuneration

  • $59 per visit
