Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is the second largest cause of respiratory illness in adults second to the Flu, however there are no specific prevention options. Older adults who are infected with RSV may be susceptible to more severe illnesses such as pneumonia.
This trial involves an investigational RSV vaccine coadministered with a seasonal flu vaccine. If eligible, you would be required to attend 3 visits at one of our clinics over 2 months, and also report events at home via an eDiary.
Eligibility requirements
- Age: 65+
- Sex: Males & Females
- Medication: – Previous or planned RSV vaccine, either licensed or investigational prohibited – Flu vaccine within 6 months prior or planned during study participation prohibited
- Medical History: – Anaphylaxis to previous vaccines prohibited – Allergy to egg or chicken proteins prohibited – History of Guillain-Barre syndrome prohibited
