F04126 – Weight Management Trial – Oral Treatment

The treatment is an oral tablet taken once daily.

Eligibility requirements
- Age: 18-75
- Sex: M & F
- BMI: ≥ 27
- Weight: Must be stable for the last 3 months
- Medication: Participants must not have taken GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) or other weight-loss medications within 3 months prior to screening and cannot have a known hypersensitivity or intolerance of GLP-1 drugs. Various other medications are also prohibited including certain antidepressants, antipsychotics, and systemic steroids. Cannot be taking recreational drugs.
- Medical History: All medications taken within 30 days prior to the first dose must be recorded, and any weight-loss related medications within 3 months of screening. Can have type 2 diabetes. Exclusions: Major depression or psychiatric disorder, History of cancer in last 5 years (except for basal or squamous skin cancer, cervical cancer, or prostate cancer), Unstable cardiovascular disease (stable is ok), Irritable Bowel Syndrome / Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
- Smoking History: Nicotine and alcohol history and current use is collected and reviewed at every visit throughout the study.

Outpatient Visits
- There are 16 visits in total over approximately 50 weeks, occurring roughly every 4 weeks.
Payment/Remuneration
- Participants who qualify and enrol will receive all study medication, health assessments, and laboratory tests at no cost. They will also be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses.
